Mr. Smith has over 20 years of experience in the development of software systems and business management.
Prior to founding Vigilant Solutions, Shawn was a key developer of probabilistic risk assessment models used by the U.S. Navy, developed analysis and decision systems for optimization of semiconductor manufacturing lines within Texas Instruments and Motorola; and founded Global Knowledge Systems which was later acquired by Applied Materials where he served as Managing Director.
Mr. Hodnett has a unique combination of business skills which range from new business startups, business development, contract negotiations, mergers & acquisitions to executive leadership, and strategic planning.
Prior to joining DRN as Executive Chairman, Todd was the President and CEO of Recovery Database Network, Inc., which he founded after leaving Rock Island Live Entertainment, where he served as the Corporate Development Officer and General Counsel. Upon graduating with his Bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University, Todd was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves where he served until he was honorably discharged as a Captain in 2002. He attended Oklahoma City University School of Law and in 1992 he received his Juris Doctor degree.
Hoang Ba Tran
Mr. Hoang has a history of directing successful businesses including extracting refined chemicals, food processing, land management and construction.
Mr. Hoang founded and funded the Dolsoft Technology Incubator, and his vision of providing smart technologies around the world led him to the founding of Vigilant Video and FabSolve LLC. Mr. Hoang has organized business alliances with European partners to provide GIS services within the European Benelux countries which are providing clients in Europe and Vietnam great benefit today.
Mr. Boyce recently retired from the partnership at TPG Capital, one of the largest global investment partnerships, owning 107 companies with over $140 Billion in revenue.
He founded and led TPG’s Operating Group, which drives performance improvement across all the TPG companies, from 1997 to 2013. In his first role, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of J.Crew Group, Inc., from 1997-1999, and as a Board member from 1997-2006. He also served as the Chairman of both Burger King Corporation and Del Monte Foods. He currently serves on the board of LPL Investment Holdings and Vigilant Solutions, and is a senior advisor to HP Enterprise, Solamere Capital, and Expa. Prior to joining TPG, Mr. Boyce was a senior officer at PepsiCo. Inc. and was previously a partner at Bain & Company. He received a BSE from Princeton University and received his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He served on the Mitt Romney 2012 National Board and currently serves the Board of Overseers of the Hoover Institution and the National Council of AEI. Mr. Boyce has been married to Sandy for 28 years and has two sons.
Mr. Westreich founded and led Westfield Realty, Inc., a successful Washington, D.C. area commercial real estate finance, development and construction company for forty years.
As the first outside Director on the Capital One Board, Mr. Westreich served for 20 years, and was a Chairman and Member of the Compensation Committee and a Director and Member of the Finance and Trust Oversight Committee. Mr. Westreich also serves on the Board of Directors of Neuralstem, Inc. Mr. Westreich holds a Juris Doctorate from New York University and a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Miami.
Mr. Pickle has an extensive career in public service, most recently serving as the 37th United States Senate Sergeant at Arms.
Mr. Pickle spent over 26 years in the U.S. Secret Service, rising through the ranks to become the Special Agent in Charge of the Vice Presidential Protective Division protecting Vice President Al Gore and his family. Pickle also served as the Transportation Security Administration’s first Federal Security Director, and held the role of Deputy Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Labor. In 2002, Pickle was one of only two finalists considered by President George W. Bush to serve as the Director of the Secret Service.
Mr. Bassman is an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital.
Previously, he was a member of Morgan Stanley Principal Investments and Morgan Stanley’s Special Situation Group, both on-balance sheet investment vehicles where he focused on private equity and debt investments for the Firm. During those roles, Robert spent time working on Digital Globe, Morgan Stanley Principal Investment’s largest portfolio investment. Robert joined Morgan Stanley in 2004 as an Analyst in the Media and Communications Group within the Investment Banking Division. Robert is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and also spent one year at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
