The FBI-Criminal Justice Information Services Division Security Policy (FBI-CJIS Security Policy) was created by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to provide authorized agencies with a security management structure for accessing, protecting and safeguarding Criminal Justice Information accessed or received from the FBI-CJIS system of services.

The policy provides an agency with the means of building trust through well-documented policies and procedures, helping them to develop and secure all CJI data located outside of the agency's network.

With the help of our Director of Information Security and Compliance, Pete Fagan, we are working to ensure that all of the agencies Vigilant Solutions partners with are adhering to the FBI-CJIS Security Policy by helping to create documentation and processes.
